- Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking on your device: Go to Settings > Developer Options and enable 'USB debugging' and OEM Unlocking. If you don’t see the Developer Option on the main Settings menu, then go to Settings > About Phone and quickly tap "7" times on device’s Build number to enable Developer Options.
- Install ADB and Fastboot driver for Windows or MAC and restart your computer.
- Visit this page to create official Huawei ID.
- Now fill out the details here, after creating Huawei ID.
- When asked for a product identification code, fill out the IMEI/MEID code and submit. Dial *#*#1357946#*#* to see device’s identification number.
- After entering the required information, you will receive the unlock code. Note it down somewhere safe.
- Now, on PC, go to the ADB and Fastboot directory on PC and open the Command window: press SHIFT key and right-click anywhere on an empty space in the ADB and Fastboot folder and select Open Command Window here from the Context menu.
- Connect your device to PC.
- In the command prompt window, type adb reboot bootloder to reboot the device into the Fastboot mode.
- Now to check if the device has successfully entered the Fastboot mode, type fastboot device in the command prompt. If the command returns your device’s serial number it means the connection has been successful.
- Now to unlock the bootloader of, type fastboot oem unlock <unlock key> in the command prompt. Unlock key in the command is the one your get from Huawei in the step-6 above, see step-1 to 5 to know how to get unlock key.
