Microsoft Big Windows 8.1 Release Date Confirmed For October 18




After a year the release of Windows 8, the tech giant, Microsoft has justannounced that Windows 8.1 will be officially launched on October 18, so users will be allowed to get it as a free update from the Windows Store.

Specifically, The Company’s Brandon LeBlanc confirms “I know a lot of folks are eager to find out when they will be able to get Windows 8.1. I am excited to share that starting at 12:00am on October 18th in New Zealand (that’s 4:00 am October 17th in Redmond); Windows 8.1 will begin rolling out worldwide as a free update for consumers on Windows 8 through the Windows Store,”

Windows 8.1 is assuming to address consumer complaints regarding Windows 8, as Microsoft emphasizes that this new OS Window version is the milestone that it’s focusing to its users.

So as a turn up, the company will bring back the handed-down “Start button”, but instead of launching a Start Menu, it will actually serve as a direct jump straight to the Start screen.



The most macroscopic change in Windows 8.1 is the up come of a “boot to desktop” option, as well as significant changes to the Start screen and support for smaller form factors, providing elegant features for users.

Microsoft is expecting, box copies of Windows 8.1 to hit the stores soon after the public release on October 18.
