Google Chrome is the most popular browser in the world. Chrome is used by 60% of Internet users. Moreover, on the basis of Chromium built many other browsers, a striking example is the Yandex Browser. As with Windows, Android users have a choice between different browsers, but Chrome is still the best. And a significant role in this is played by support from Google and the synchronization of all data between Chrome and Android. For 32 million users, this experience of deep integration of the browser with the system may very soon cease.

On Google, users found a commit (recording changes in the repository), according to which Chrome will no longer support Android 4.1-4.3 Jellybean in the near future. Currently, this version of the OS occupies 3.2% of the total number of Android devices. This figure is, of course, small, but if you do not take into account the total number of devices on the market, 32 million is a rather large figure.

This is not the end for those who still use smartphones on this version of Android, because Google Play can offer many different options. The brightest are Opera and Mozilla, but they won't get the same integration that Chrome has. The lack of support for Chrome in practice, although it will affect the experience of use, but to a greater extent, this news is unpleasant from the point of view of Google support. For example, Android Jellybean is the latest version for 2012 smartphones. In fact, buying a device, you should expect a maximum of 6 years of normal operation, then even Google itself is not ready to support such devices.

On the other hand, there is nothing strange in this, because the iPhone 5 of 2012 also did not receive an update to iOS 11 last year, and nobody will be able to update the iOS browser, so from the point of view of application support, Google is still above its main rival.
