In fact, buying a device, you should expect a maximum of 6 years of normal operation, then even Google itself is not ready to support such devices.

On the other hand, there is nothing strange in this, because the iPhone 5 of 2012 also did not receive an update to iOS 11 last year, and nobody will be able to update the iOS browser, so from the point of view of application support, Google is still above its main rival.
